Neon database integration for apps, app screenshots and gallery, and much more!

Dyad v0.44.0 introduces Neon database integration for apps, adds app screenshots and a new App Gallery, makes chat mode persist per conversation, supports pause and resume for queued AI tasks, enables scalable cross-app references, and improves Supabase Edge Function deployments for more reliability.

Highlights

Dyad now automatically captures screenshots for each app version (up to the last 100 versions). The new App Gallery at the bottom of the home screen displays the latest screenshot for each app, giving you a quick visual overview.

Neon database integration for apps (experimental)

This release adds Neon integration for Next.js apps, as an alternative to Supabase. Neon offers a generous free tier (up to 100 databases) and time-travel support for database changes. Dyad sets up a separate development database to let you safely iterate before deploying to production.

Experimental Neon support

Neon integration is experimental. Upcoming releases will expand support to additional templates and allow reviewing schema changes before production deployment.

Chat mode persists per conversation

Chat mode now persists separately for each conversation, making it easier to switch between chats without repeatedly selecting your preferred mode.

Pause and resume queued AI tasks

You can now pause and resume queued AI tasks, giving you control over processing order without losing your place in the task queue.

Scalable support for cross-app references

This release improves scalability for cross-app references, making it easier to reference other apps as your projects grow.

More reliable Supabase Edge Function deployments

Supabase Edge Function deployments are now queued and retried automatically for improved reliability. Progress updates are shown during deployments, and warnings are provided if any functions fail to deploy.

Enhancements & fixes

  • Added version display in chat messages for improved visibility when reviewing conversation history.
  • The refactor button tooltip now displays the full file path to clarify which file is being modified.
  • Fixed an issue where the retry button could disappear when an error popup appeared.
  • Reduced excessive Supabase requests to help prevent rate-limit issues.
  • Local Agent can inspect ignored files when necessary.
  • Fixed reliability issues for some chat flows, including missing tool result errors after mid-turn compaction.
  • Local Agent now keeps running after chat summaries are created, reducing interruptions in longer workflows.
  • Reduced frequency of Dyad update checks to lower background activity.
  • Fixed errors when pushing database migration changes with Neon integration.
