0.23.0
Claude Sonnet 4.5, GPT-5 Codex, Super Value model and Web Search (Pro) and more!
Dyad v0.23 brings the latest frontier models like Claude Sonnet 4.5 and GPT-5 Codex. It includes experimental Web Search support for Dyad Pro members and more!
Highlights
Latest models: Claude Sonnet 4.5 and GPT-5 Codex
Dyad adds support for two new frontier models: Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.5 and OpenAI GPT-5 Codex. As always, you can bring your own API key or subscribe to Dyad Pro to get access to all the best models in one plan.
Super Value model (Pro)
Dyad Pro members can now access Super Value from the model picker, which automatically routes your request to a very cost-efficient AI model like GPT-5 mini or Qwen 3 Coder. You can get close to frontier model performance at 1/5 of the cost. For people running out of AI credits quickly, we recommend using the Super Value model when possible and then switching to other models as needed.
Web Search (Pro)
Dyad includes experimental support for Web Search for Dyad Pro members. You can opt in to the feature by opening the Pro menu and then enabling web search.
Web Search is useful for looking up up-to-date information and helps with debugging errors from new library versions that aren't baked in to the AI model's knowledge.
If you don't have Dyad Pro, you can use an MCP server like Brave Search to get similar functionality.
Cross-app references and Smart Context (Pro)
In v0.17, we added support for Cross-app references which lets you bring in features from other apps, making it possible to combine smaller apps into a single app!
In this release, Smart Context will now efficiently find the relevant files for the mentioned apps in addition to the main app, so that you can save on tokens while you're using this feature.
Enhancements
There are also several improvements from the community:
- You can toggle between the different chat modes using keyboard shortcuts by @princeaden1
- You can easily copy AI messages with proper formatting by @princeaden1
- Disable send button while approval is pending by @azizmejri1
- You can now configure the Azure AI provider settings using the UI in addition to environment variables by @rakibulrocky14
Big thank you to @princeaden1, @azizmejri1 and @rakibulrocky14 who are repeat contributors and have made lots of improvements to Dyad in the past releases!
There are also other smaller changes:
- The setup banner has been updated so that it navigates to the model providers section directly in the Settings page. Dyad Pro is also listed as an option in addition to the free Gemini and OpenRouter options.
