0.14.0 Beta 1
Upload images, community templates and more.
Dyad v0.14.0 Beta 1 lets you drop images into your chat and add them to your codebase seamlessly. Plus, check out our first community-contributed template and easily rename your chat conversations.
Highlights
Upload file to codebase
You can upload images (or any kind of file) directly from the chat box. Simply click on the attachment icon and then you can select Upload file to codebase if you want Dyad to add the file to your codebase (e.g. add an image and display it in the app you're building).
You can still use images and other files as context by selecting Attach file as chat context.
If you drag a file into the chat input or paste a file from the clipboard (e.g. screenshot), then Dyad will automatically use the file as chat context. If you want to upload the file to codebase, use the attachment icon button.
Community templates
Thank you Jeff-Kazzee@ for contributing our first community template: Angular! If you'd like to contribute a template, please check out our add template guide.
Rename chat
You can now rename the title of a chat by clicking on the triple dots (overflow menu) and selecting Rename Chat.
This is especially handy when an AI model forgets to generate the chat title.
Other Changes
- Improves codebase context handling so that the AI is aware of all files in the codebase. Specifically, the AI will know that binary/data files exist but not see their contents (this is to avoid bloating the AI context window).
- Improves error message when Supabase token refresh fails.
Feedback
If you run into any issues or have suggestions for this release, the best way to share them is by reporting a bug and uploading a chat session.
