0.22.0
Experimental MCP support!
Dyad v0.22 Stable brings experimental MCP support, app search and inline code editor!
Highlights
MCP support (experimental)
If you're not familiar with MCP, it allows you to give the AI tools to interact with external systems and APIs in a standardized way.
Go to Settings and under MCP (Tools) you can add any MCP server using stdio or HTTP.
To start using your configured tools, change your chat mode by clicking on Build and selecting the new Agent mode. This allows Dyad to decide whether to use tools before generating code.
We know that security and MCP is an important issue, so we have required you to approve each MCP tool call by default. You can approve the MCP tool so that future calls for the same tool are automatically approved. This keeps you in the loop and helps prevent MCP exploits.
Agent mode and MCP support are experimental, so please share feedback on GitHub.
We also want to thank @rakibulrocky14 who created a proof-of-concept for this!
App search
Do you have lots of Dyad apps like me? Now you can easily find the right Dyad app with search. Thanks to @azizmejri1 for contributing this!
Inline code editor
You can now edit files directly within the chat UI. Thanks to @princeaden1 for contributing this!
Other changes
We've added a promotional banner on the home screen to explain some of the benefits of Dyad Pro. As always, we commit to continuing to improve Dyad Free with each release (as you can see from this release)!
There are also a couple more improvements from the community:
- You can now edit custom AI providers by @princeaden1
- Allow scrolling of the AI model list when the list is long by @princeaden1
