0.29.0 Beta 1

Deep Smart Context now default, Claude Opus 4.5, fixed Vercel integration and more!

Dyad v0.29 Beta 1 makes Deep Smart Context the default mode for all Pro users! It also adds Claude Opus 4.5 and fixes the Vercel integration.

Highlights

Deep Smart Context now default (Pro)

Deep Smart Context is now the default mode for Pro members, replacing the legacy Balanced mode. This upgrade means Dyad now automatically remembers your entire conversation history and works more intelligently on complex projects right from the start.

What this means for you:

  • Complete conversation memory – Dyad tracks everything discussed from the beginning of your chat, avoiding repeated suggestions and lost context.

  • Smarter external change detection – Dyad now automatically detects when code has been modified outside the conversation and reads updated files as needed.

  • Better codebase understanding – Dyad can search through your project multiple times in a single response to locate exactly what it needs.

  • Optimized credit usage – Automatic caching of chat messages and codebase content makes Deep mode more efficient than ever.

Long conversations will eventually hit the AI model's context window limit. When this happens, you can use the new summarize feature (see below) or start a new chat to continue.

You can opt out of the Deep Smart Context mode and use the legacy Balanced mode at any time. Please share any feedback, especially by uploading a chat session, if you run into any issues with the new Deep Smart Context mode!

Summarize chat

When your conversation approaches the model's context limit, Dyad now shows a helpful banner with a one-click option to summarize the current chat into a fresh conversation. This keeps your workflow moving smoothly without losing important context.

You can also manually trigger a summary using the summarize button in the chat input area. We've improved our summarization feature to capture key decisions, code changes, and discussion points in a structured format that works well as a starting point for continued work.

Claude Opus 4.5

Anthropic's most capable model, Claude Opus 4.5, is now available in Dyad. This premium model delivers exceptional coding performance and deep reasoning capabilities, perfect for your most complex projects.

Note: Claude Opus 4.5 is significantly more expensive than other models. Use it for challenging tasks where you need the absolute best results.

Along with Opus 4.5, we've cleaned up model naming across the board. Sonnet models are now listed as "Claude Sonnet 4" and "Claude Sonnet 4.5" for consistency. Legacy Anthropic 3.x models have been removed.

Fixed Vercel integration

Dyad's Vercel integration has been broken for the last few weeks due to a breaking API change in Vercel. This releases fixes the Vercel integration.
