Media library for app assets, longer workflows with 100 tool call steps, and notifications for planning questionnaires

Dyad v0.41.0 Beta 1 adds a new media library for managing app assets, supports longer agent workflows with the default max tool call steps increased to 100, and adds notifications for planning questionnaires so it’s easier to keep track of planning work that needs your attention.

Highlights

Media library for app assets

This release adds a media library to help you manage assets used in your apps.

It gives you a more central place to work with media, which is especially useful when you’re reusing images and other assets across a project.

Longer workflows with 100 max tool call steps

The default max tool call steps has been increased from 50 to 100.

This gives the agent more room to complete longer, multi-step tasks in a single run, which is helpful for workflows that involve many file operations, app changes, or other chained actions.

Tip

If you want more control over agent runs, you can still adjust the max tool call steps in settings.

Planning questionnaire notifications

Dyad now includes notifications for planning questionnaires.

This makes it easier to notice when planning-related input needs your attention, so it’s less likely to be missed during longer app-building sessions.

Enhancements

  • Improved reliability when retrying transient local agent server errors, reducing interruptions in some runs.
  • Continuation retries now use the user message instead of assistant prefill, improving behavior in some retry cases.
  • Fixed queued chat editing so component selections and annotations stay linked correctly.
  • Improved handling of certain IPC exceptions and telemetry noise, helping reduce unnecessary error reporting.
  • App output is now batched and throttled to reduce log flooding in some workflows.
  • Added a tooltip to the app name button in the title bar for a bit more context while navigating.

Feedback

This is a beta release, so feedback is especially helpful—particularly around the media library, longer agent runs, and planning questionnaire notifications.

If you run into issues or have suggestions, please help us improve by reporting a bug or uploading a chat session.
