0.30.0 Beta 1

Visual editor, built-in Git support, GPT 5.2, and enhanced error handling!

Dyad v0.30.0 Beta 1 introduces an exciting visual editor for Dyad Pro users, experimental built-in Git support, and OpenAI's latest GPT 5.2 model. This beta release also brings numerous quality-of-life improvements and better error handling.

Highlights

Visual editor for UI components (Pro)

We've added a powerful visual editor for Dyad Pro users that lets you modify UI components directly through an intuitive interface. Instead of using AI credits for straightforward visual changes, you can now adjust the UI directly!

What this enables:

  • Direct visual manipulation – Click and modify UI elements without diving into code or using AI
  • Faster iteration – Make design changes instantly and see results in real-time

The visual editor integrates seamlessly with Dyad's existing workflow, so you can still use AI assistance alongside visual editing for the best of both worlds.

Built-in Git support (Experimental)

Dyad now includes built-in Git functionality, eliminating the need to have Git installed on your system. You can enable this by going to Settings -> Experiments and toggling on Enable Native Git.

This experimental feature uses Dugite under the hood to provide native Git operations directly within Dyad.

Benefits for users:

  • No setup required – Native Git work out of the box, without requiring a separate Git installation
  • Faster performance – Same Git functionality across all platforms and environments

This new Git support paves the way for upcoming collaboration features - stay tuned!

Previously, enabling native Git would use your system Git, which would require a separate installation and cause inconsistent bheavior.

We'd love your feedback on how this works for your projects!

GPT 5.2

OpenAI's latest model, GPT 5.2, is now available in Dyad. This newest iteration brings enhanced reasoning capabilities and improved code generation performance, especially for UI/frontend work.

We've also cleaned up the model selection by removing older OpenAI models to keep the list focused on the most capable options.

Enhancements

  • Added copy button for error messages, making it easier to share debugging information.
  • Fixed issue where custom models weren't updating properly after configuration changes.
  • Improved search-replace block handling to warn instead of error on identical blocks.
  • Fixed Supabase list interface conflicts with drag-and-drop areas.
  • Enhanced bug reporting with last 4 characters of Dyad Pro user ID for better support.

Feedback
