Browser-like multi-chat tabs, Plan mode for everyone, and an AI Conflict Resolver for Git merge conflicts

Dyad v0.37.0 Beta 1 introduces browser-like tabs for multi-chat sessions, makes Plan mode available for all users, and adds an AI Conflict Resolver to help fix Git merge conflicts with less manual thrash.

Highlights

Browser-like tabs for multi-chat

This beta adds browser-like tabs so you can:

  • Keep multiple chats open at the same time
  • Switch between chats without losing your place
  • Work in parallel without constantly bouncing in and out of the chat list

Plan mode is now available for all users

Plan mode is now available for everyone —making it easier to start work with alignment and fewer mid-flight course corrections.

Use Plan mode when you want to:

  • Break down a larger feature into steps before any files change
  • Clarify requirements and edge cases up front
  • Review and adjust the approach before implementation begins

AI Conflict Resolver (Git merge conflicts)

This release introduces an AI Conflict Resolver to help you get through Git merge conflicts with less manual editing.

It’s designed for situations where you want to merge changes between branches or want to merge in other collaborator's changes.

Feedback appreciated

If the resolver produces an incorrect merge, please upload a chat sesion so we can improve the conflict strategy.

Build with MCP mode is deprecated

Our new Agent mode has better MCP support and is available for all users (free users can send 5 messages daily with the Basic Agent mode).

Previously, the Build with MCP mode had weird edge cases where it didn't generate code when it was supposed to.

If you want to use Build mode with MCP servers, you can still do so by enabling the experiment in settings called: "Enable MCP servers for Build mode".

Using MCP servers with Build mode is generally not recommended because it can result in unexpected results like not generating code or not giving enough context to MCP servers.

Enhancements

  • When dragging a file into Dyad, you’re now prompted to choose the attachment type.
  • Improved the file read chat component with optional line numbers.
  • Improved chat behavior when moving between chats, including scroll consistency.
  • Improved Help dialog UX (clearer structure and smoother interactions).
  • Improved chat input UI to be cleaner.
  • Added a keyboard shortcut for zooming.

Feedback

This is a beta release, so feedback is especially helpful—particularly on tabs, Plan mode availability, and the AI Conflict Resolver.

If you run into issues or have suggestions, please help us improve by reporting a bug or uploading a chat session.
