Dyad v0.35.0 Beta 2 gives more capabilities for free users with a free Basic Agent mode and lets Pro members generate custom themes from live websites. We've also fixed a couple of workflow issues with GitHub!
Highlights
Free Basic Agent mode (with a daily quota)
This release introduces Basic Agent mode for free users, with a 5-message daily quota (this means you can send 150 messages a month!). Once you run out of your quota, you can continue to use Build mode like before.
With the Basic Agent mode, you can use any AI model with your own API keys. Similar to the Agent mode we launched recently for Dyad Pro, the Basic Agent intelligently gathers the context it needs and can debug its own errors.
The full Agent for Dyad Pro members leverages multiple AI models and gives you more capabilities like cloning websites, faster file edits and advanced code search.
Generate custom themes from live websites (Pro)
The Custom Theme Generator can now pull inspiration from live websites.
Instead of only describing what you want, you can point the generator at a real site and use it as a starting point for:
- overall vibe (clean, playful, editorial, etc.)
- color palette direction
- spacing + typography feel
This is especially helpful when you know the kind of experience you want, but don’t know exactly how to describe it.
Enhancements & fixes
- Fixed an issue where Dyad could miss auto-committing local changes before preparing a GitHub branch—helping keep your Git history clean and preventing accidental lost work.
- Fixed GitHub integration edge case where a repo name mismatch could happen if your GitHub repo name contains spaces.
